Independent and family-run, The Nut Tree is a gastropub style venue serving scrumptious fine dining as well as an astounding collection of worldly wines, real ales, and premium spirits.
They’re proudly friendly too, and dogs are always welcome inside which can surprise visitors to this upmarket pub. You and the pooch can cosy up by a log fire, or step out and sun yourself in the grassy garden or beautiful little garden if the weather holds.

The Dolphin is practically on top of fellow dog-friendly fave The Ship, and not far from the nature reserve or bluebell woods if you fancy walkies.

The Old Inn is another dog-friendly pub in Weston-super-Mare that allows dogs in the garden or inside in the bar, although your four-legged friend isn’t allowed in the restaurant. You can order food from the bar though, so your family can all enjoy attractive, appetising and generously portioned dinners in this super homely pub.
The food’s a step up from pub grub as well, including sumptuous specials like pan-fried duck breast. They’ve just nabbed a traveller’s choice award from TripAdviser too, as testament to their fantastic service and beautiful decor.

The unique look of The New Castle is because it was built as an Edwardian folly. Although it might look stony and stoic on the outside, it’s surprisingly smart and bright inside with lovely views over the seafront. There’s a small menu of scrummy comfort food, perfect for filling up after a family day out, walkies, or a bike ride.
Walkers, cyclists, children, and pups are all welcome inside, making it the perfect pit-stop to refuel whether you’re tucking into homemade cakes and sausage rolls with a coffee, or a cheeky late night pint later in the week.

The stylish and modern Brunello Lounge is one of the paw-some and sup-aw dog-friendly cafe/bars in the Lounge chain, and there’s always new furry friends to meet inside.
It makes the perfect home from home with it’s warm atmosphere, cosy interior, and tons of tasty food and drinks, including a great range of veggie and vegan options. Your pup needn’t go thirsty either, as the staff are happy to fetch a bowl of water for Fido.

The Duke of Oxford is another fabulously dog-friendly pub in Weston-super-Mare that welcomes people and pups inside for a pint after walkies on the beach. If you’re lucky, someone might be tickling the keys of the grand piano, which always gives this cosy country-style pub a relaxing air.

The George and Dragon is one of Weston-super-Mare’s best “proper” pubs, with sport on the telly, pubs games galore, and gluts of good beer to guzzle.
It’s roomy inside with a sports bar vibe, and it might not be the prettiest pub around, but it’s right in the centre of town a few minutes from the seafront, and happy to welcome every member of your family whether they’re young or old, two-legged or four.

If you’re staying in the caravan site you’ll definitely want to drop anchor here at The Anchor, which is the closest dog-friendly pub in Weston-super-Mare.

Stones is a cafe/bar rather than a pub, but it’s in the top ten dog-friendly places to eat and drink in Somerset along with local pub The Dolphin. They also received a prestigious traveller’s choice award this year.
The food is simple but fresh and tasty, and the thick slabs of homemade cake and views across the bay make a visit more than worthwhile. Your dog won’t go hungry either, because this cute cafe hands out free biscuits for doggy visitors and sells doggy ice-cream so everyone can enjoy walkies and a cold treat by the beach.

The mini-sized pub the Black Cat might be named after the landlord’s charm of cats and full of feline decorative touches, but there’s not a whisker in sight except for those on the local pups toddling in with their humans.
This cosy and slightly gothic micropub might be the smallest boozer in town, but it’s the purr-fect blend of real ale hideaway and craft beer bar, with an astounding selection of beers, wines, and gins to sip.

Within walking distance of the train station is the Borough Arms. The pub had a full refurb recently and it looks clean and trim and feels very comfortable, especially when the friendly staff are happy to make such a fuss of any people or pooches through their doors.
There’s a cracking menu of gorgeous grills and comfort food, plus free water and treats for furry visitors.

The Bear is just a two-minute walk from the seafront and a stone’s throw from the pier and town centre. It looks like a fairly standard, cosy, traditional pub and you and the pooch are allowed to come inside, including a stay in the guest rooms if you fancy it.
Pups are always given a good fuss and like most proper pubs, there’s usually a pooch or two tucked under the tables. It’s the perfect place to “pup” in for a drink after walkies on the beach.

The Landing Light is another dog-friendly pub in Weston-super-Mare that welcomes dogs inside the bar or the garden. As things returned to normal, they announced that they would be adding more “doggy extras” and there’s now a cute little water station for doggos as well as the glorious fuss the staff already supply for furballs. Plus, this place is famous for its rotisserie chicken, and you might want to save a scrap for Fido.
