One of the oldest and most charming dog-friendly pubs in Cornwall, The Sloop is open every single day of the year and has unrivalled views over the beautiful harbour beach. It’s also only three minutes walk away from Bamaluz Beach, one of the few dog-friendly beaches in St Ives.

The Union Inn is a proper pub steeped in tradition and charm, tucked away in the quieter back streets, but still within very easy reach of the seafront.

About halfway between St Ives and Carbis Bay is The Cornish Arms, a rustic-looking country pub that’s stood here since the 19th century.
This historic inn is surprisingly light and airy inside, with patches of stonework peaking through, and a fairly traditional and uncomplicated menu of classic British dishes. Dogs are usually welcome inside, but booking ahead is advised.

The Gurnard’s Head is the furthest pub from town on this list. It’s in the heart of the Penwith Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it’s an ideal pit-stop for those walking the South West Coast Path or visiting the number of landmarks nearby, including Gurnard’s Head. (There’s a gorgeous dog-friendly beach down there too!)
