The Goat and Tricycle

The Goat and Tricycle is one of the most dog-friendly pubs in Bournemouth as well as one of the most highly reviewed by humans.

It’s in an amazing location in the middle of town within walking distance of the beach and most hotels, but it’s tucked away in the backstreets away from the hustle and bustle. There’s plenty of real ales and ciders to wet your whistle, and water bowls to quench your pup’s thirst.

The New Inn

The New Inn is a handsome and historic coaching inn in the heart of Cerne Abbas, and a super pit-stop for you and the pooch after walkies to visit the giant. It’s just as beautiful inside as it is out, with a warm atmosphere and well-presented and mouth-watering food.

Even the dog is welcomed into the pub with water and biscuits, and you can even buy them a doggy ice-cream. Better yet, this dog-friendly pub in Dorset also has pet-friendly guest rooms.

The Rope and Anchor

The Rope and Anchor is one of the most popular pubs in Poole, and it also happens to be one of the most family and dog-friendly in town.

It’s right by the quay so it’s perfect for a pit-stop after walkies along the waterfront, or you can simply sit inside to watch the ocean whilst relaxing with your pup, a pint, and piping-hot pub grub in bright and comfortable surroundings.

Square & Compass

The Square & Compass is an utterly unique watering hole with a personality and attraction all of its own. Ginger Viking

The Red Lion

The Red Lion is a beautiful old-world inn in Swanage, conveniently located on the high street and worthy of a mention in the Good Pub Guide. This popular old-school pub is packed with period features and perfectly poured pints, and pups are always welcome in this dog-friendly pub in Dorset.

They have one of the biggest ranges of real ales, ciders, and beers anywhere in town and you and the pooch are welcome to soak up some rays in the sun-trap of a garden, or head inside to nestle by the fire.

The Blue Raddle

If you’re in Dorchester at the weekend, you’ll need to sniff out The Blue Raddle. This snug pub has a limited but delicious menu of homemade comfort food, and visitors and residents alike are all treated like much-loved locals.

There’s no music, screens, or machines in here, it’s a proper little social spot for good beer, great food, and good times. Young children aren’t allowed inside, but well-behaved dogs are welcome anytime.

The Old Granary

Not just one of the most beloved pubs in Wareham, The Old Granary was named the best pub in Dorset this year according to the National Pub and Bar awards so it’s definitely worth a trip to visit!

Anchor Inn

Nestled between the Cranborne Chase AONB and the River Stour, the big brick gastropub The Anchor Inn is the perfect place for a pit-stop after exploring the beautiful Dorset countryside or taking a trip to nearby Badbury Rings.

Walkers on two legs or four are made very welcome, with water and free biscuits on hand for the furballs, whilst the humans have a spectacular choice of mouthwatering dishes made using local ingredients and global flavours.

The Coppleridge Inn
